A healthy-eating workshop kicked off a week of Kangaroo Island garden to plate activities at the Parndana Recovery Centre on Wednesday, October 21.

Other activities included another visit by gardening guru Sophie Thomson, who conducted workshops in Parndana and Kingscote about how to prepare gardens for summer.

The Integrated Wellness Service meanwhile hosted the healthy-eating workshops, first in Parndana and then in Kingscote.

The service is locally coordinated by Kita Scott in conjunction with Summit Health and Junction Community Centre will hold another session in Kingscote on Tuesday, October 27.

Some of the food was sourced from the community gardens at Parndana and Kingscote and was demonstrated by chef Christine Rourke and dietitian Annette Robson.
The Integrated Wellness Service is funded through Country SA Primary Health Network and supports more access to allied health services via KI Medical Clinic.
